Longtime fan favorite and two-time Emmy nominee Rebecca Herbst has been fired from General Hospital. ABC Soaps In Depth confirmed rumors of the actress' exit earlier tonight on Twitter. "Storyline dictates the exit of Elizabeth Webber this spring. The next few months promise to be 'not-to-miss' story for the character. We at ABC and GH wish Rebecca Herbst nothing but the best in her future endeavors," said ABC in a statement to SID.
Rumors of the actress' exit began last week when Soap Central announced the "shocking" exit of an Emmy nominee from an ABC soap. Daytime Confidential today published a "rumor report" announcing their sources were reporting Herbst's exit. Herbst has had little storyline since returning from medical leave in the fall.

Oh well....it is what it is...her story played out and there was no where for her to go....frankly, I would have changed the paternity of the two kids and had Lucky want more connection with them...open the door for L&L2 again...but I ain't Guza, that's for sure...
